A song from 2015 by Christopher Walker, written for the canonisation of St Junipero Serra, an eighteenth-century missionary in California. The first line is a motto from St Junipero which has also been adopted by President Barrack Obama. This is a vigorous setting characteristic of the composer.
Always forward, never back!
Christ, companion, guide and goal,
where you lead our steps will follow,
love in heart and mind and soul.
